Restarting the License server

Occasionally the license cannot be installed because the lslic.exe utility cannot find the host license server. Usually, restarting the Sentinel LM service will fix this.

  • From the Windows Desktop, right-click My Computer and select Manage.
    The Computer Management dialog box appears.
  • Double-click Services and Applications.
  • Double-click Services.
  • Scroll to locate the Sentinel LM service.
  • Right-click this service and select Properties.
  • In the Startup Type field, select Automatic.
  • Click OK.
  • Close the Computer Management dialog box.

At this point try to install the license again.
