In some cases you may need to create the LSHOST environment variable. For example, this may occur if your license server is not on the same subnet.

1.    Right-click on My Computer and choose Properties

2.    Select the Advanced tab on the System Properties dialog, then click the Environment Variables button.

3.    Click the New button under System variables on the Environment Variables dialog.

4.    Set the Variable Name to LSHOST and the Variable value to \\{your license server name}, where {your license server name} is replaced with the name of your license server.

LSHOST="\\mylicenseserver\"

5.    Click OK on all of the open dialogs.
