What is the significance of Groups.txt

Groups.txt is a file that is used by Live Touch for SAP.  It contains mapping information that is used to identify contents of the “Application” field in Live Touch.

That file is generated as part of the Live Learn extract done against a customer system.  The extract is used to generate map files.  The customer places the map files into some network directory, and they place the groups.txt file into the Certify Client directory (for Worksoft Certify 8.2 and 8.3).

Starting with Worksoft Certify 8.4.1, the Groups.txt file will now need to be placed in the SAP Interface directory <Worksoft installation folder>\Worksoft\Certify\Interface Client\Worksoft\wsTest\SAP.

Please see the Technical notes for Importing Livelearn Maps for more information.

Note: There are no plans to distribute a default / base version of the file with the SAP Interface.  This will still be done at the customer site using the file produced by the Live Learn extract.
