Problem: When using Certify Data, the following error message is shown:

Root cause: The Worksoft Certify Connect (Message Exchange) Windows Service might not be running.

Resolution: Please verify if the Worksoft Certify Connect has been started in the Services Control Panel.
After this has been verified try browsing to the service URL (http://wslicense/MessageExchangeService/MessageExchange/). If the page loads without any errors then the service is running and available to clients. If there are any error at this point please submit a case with Worksoft Customer support and include the log files from the server (located in C:\logs by default).

Note: The only place where you need to change the URL information for Certify Data is in the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config file under the C:\program files\worksoft\certify\client folder. If you already have Certify Data working on another machine, then you can also take the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config file from that machine and copy it to the C:\program files\worksoft\certify\client folder of the Certify Client where this error message occurred.
