New Installation - Certify can not find the SAP GUI session

Certify can't see/interact with SAP GUI

A couple of things to check -

  • Vertify that scripting is turned on in the SAP Client.  Transaction RZ11, Parameter - sapgui/user_scripting, Current Value =TRUE

  • Vertify that scripting has been enabled for you.  Options (colorful box, normally on the top toolbar), select Scripting.  Vertify that Enable Scripting is checked and the other 2 options (Notify options) are unchecked.

  • Verify the StartSaplogon registry key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAPGUI

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI (on 64 bit machines)

Look for "StartSaplogon" and double click it.  The value should be "1". Certify may launch SAP correctly but will timeout waiting for execution and will not be able to interact with the session.
