Finding the web log to send to Worksoft support

The WEB log is generated automatically (no configuration required) whenever a V3 web test is run and is overwritten with each test run.

The location is the user's Temp folder which can be in different locations depending on network policies and operating systems. The location is usually %userprofile%\Local Settings\Temp\_Certify_Html_Version3_Log.txt (Local Settings is a hidden folder)

On XP: This is the C:\Documents And Settings\<WindowsUserName>\Local Settings\Temp folder

If the file can not be found here, then right-click on the Start button and choose Explore which will open Windows Explorer to C:\Documents And Settings\<WindowsUserName>

If you don't see the Local Settings folder (which can be hidden), please type the path onto the end of the current path in the address bar.

Starting with Certify 8.5.1, there is also a menu in Web Learn to get to the web execution log (under the File menu). The tooltip of the Execution Log menu option will show the path to the log file.

If you click the Execution Log menu option it will open the log in the user's default text editor if one has been created, otherwise it opens Windows Explorer to that location.

The location of the log on Windows 7 is shown in the tooltip in the following screenshot.
