To run the Certify Client Installation executable silently, please run the installer from the command line and
add /s option to the CertifySetup.exe. Please remember to include the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config in the same folder as the CertifySetup, exe. The Worksoft.Certify.exe.config can be generated by either another Certify client under the Tools -> Change configuration dialog or by the Standalone Configuration tool provided in the Worksoft Certify Site Prep Package ( included in the Worksoft Certify installation package).
You can pass
variable values using the form "TARGETDIR=<path value>" (including
the quotes, if you are specifying values with spaces in them).
Note: If you had forgotten to include the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config file when running the CertifySetup.exe, you can still add the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config file to the <Installation patch>\Worksoft\Certify\Client folder manually. Otherwise, in Certify 8.5.1 and up when the Worksoft.Certify.exe.config, Worksoft Certify will start up with an empty Change Configuration Dialog so that the user has an option to enter the configuration information such as database name, autoupdater location, etc. at Certify Client start up.
To do a silent uninstall, run the installer from the command
line and add /s MODIFY=FALSE REMOVE=TRUE UNINSTALL=YES.
IMPORTANT: If you are installing Worksoft Certify to a Citrix machine, the machine must be in the Install mode before starting the Certify Installation (whether it a silent installation or normal installation). Please see more details about installing on a Citrix machine in the Certify Enterprise Installation Guide.
