Symptom: When executing a Certify process, the user gets Certify Java Interface timeout error on one of the client machine (while the Certify Java Interface runs successfully on all other Certify client machines)
Possible cause: Missing accessibility.properties file. Once in a while, a client machine in your environment may go through a reinstallation of the JRE. When this happens, the user needs to run the Jar installer against the newly installed JRE. However, sometimes if the JRE was not installed using conventional methods, the Jar installer which relies on information from the Javasoft registry will not be able to locate the JRE\lib folder.
Resolution: To verify that this is the case, go to the lib folder in your JRE installation (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib) and see if the file "accessibility.properties" is present. If not, then copy the file "accessibility.properties" from the Certify installation folder, .. \Worksoft\Certify\Interface Client\Worksoft\wsTest\Java\InstallerFiles
Other related problems: There are two other files, CertifyBridge-1_6.jar* and jaccess-1_4.jar, must also exist in the JRE\ext folder. Please check that the two files are in the JRE\ext folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib\ext). If not, they can also be copied from the Certify installation folder, .. \Worksoft\Certify\Interface Client\Worksoft\wsTest\Java\InstallerFiles.
*Note:This file name depends on the JRE version.
If you are using Java 1.6, the file name is CertifyBridge-1_6.jar.
If you are using Java 1.5, the file name is CertifyBridge-1_5.jar.
This article is applicable to Worksoft Certify 8.5 and up.
