Certify Java interface is not upgraded after applying a Worksoft Certify patch

Symptom: After upgrading to a new patch, Worksoft Certify Java interface is not updated.

Possible cause: If the JRE was not installed using conventional methods, the patch installation which relies on information from the Javasoft registry will not be able to locate the JRE\lib folder.

Resolution:  There are two other files, CertifyBridge-1_6.jar* and jaccess-1_4.jar, must be updated in the JRE\ext folder. Please check that the two files are in the JRE\ext folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07\lib\ext) have the same last created date as the two files with the same name in the Certify Java interface installation folder .. \Worksoft\Certify\Interface Client\Worksoft\wsTest\Java\InstallerFiles.. If not, the user may choose to copy from manually from the Certify Java interface installation folder.

*Note:This file name depends on the JRE version.

If you are using Java 1.6, the file name is CertifyBridge-1_6.jar.

If you are using Java 1.5, the file name is CertifyBridge-1_5.jar.

This article is applicable to Worksoft Certify 8.5.1 and up.
